I’m not sure how successful this little gadget will be, but the Wikipad 7″ hybrid tablet and gaming controller will be available later this spring for $250. It will be running Android 4.1 Jelly Bean with a Nvidia Tegra 3 quad-core processor, 16GB of on-board memory and a microSD card slot.

The pricing of this tablet makes it competitive in the 7 inch tablet market with ones like the Google Nexus 7 and Amazon Kindle Fire HD. That processor is a nice addition as well.

Oh yeah, and you can pull the tablet out of the gaming dock and use it as a regular tablet.

The questions is, how many high-end games will we see that take advantage of this setup?
