Review: Dodocool Bluetooth Headphones Earbuds 1

Over the past few weeks, I’ve had the opportunity to review the Dodocool Bluetooth Headphones and I was very impressed with the sound quality and features you get for an entry level price. These headphones are a sport style headphone with the wire resting on the back of your neck. They include multiple tips to get the best fit in your ears along with stabilizer pieces that rest in your ear that prevent them from falling out. They’re also magnetic so you can loop them around your neck and the earbuds will magnetically connect to each other so they won’t fall off of your neck. The Dodocool Bluetooth Headphones offers a great 8 hours of battery life (360 hours of standby) with only 1.5 hours of charge time.

What You Get

The headphones come with the aptX HD transmission to deliver high quality sound, we’ll discuss sound quality later. It also features Adopt CVC 6.0 noise cancellation technology which will help drown out background noise while you listen to music and also help with background noise while using the microphone during a phone call. On the cable, you’ll find the microphone, charging port, and control buttons. It also features an LED indicator that shows you connection, charging, and battery level status. You can also view your battery level using your iPhone, which was my test device I had the headphones paired with.

Usage & Sound Quality

Pairing the Dodocool Bluetooth Headphones was simple if you’re using to pairing bluetooth devices. During my testing, I had the headphones paired with an iPhone 6S Plus and it was seamless. The connection remained solid with only a few audio dropouts while walking in the heavily saturated downtown Chicago loop. The battery life seemed close to what is advertised. Charging time was also accurate, but since you’re not provided with an AC adapter, you’ll need to find a USB plug to charge with the included Micro-USB cable.

Call quality was clear with only minimal complaints from the person on the other end. In a really windy environment, they were able to hear some of the wind noise, but the noise cancellation worked well at drowning out the other background noise. I could hear the other person very clearly with plenty of volume.

Sound quality has a good balance. If you have the right sized earbud tips, you’ll get good bass from the headphones. Depending on the type of music you listen to, sometimes the highs were a little too high for me, but the mids sounded inline with the bass.

I wore the headphones for almost 2 hours during each of my tests, and the headphones were very comfortable whole time. On occasion, it would feel like one of the earbuds was getting loose, but it was still secured in my ear. The earbuds also stick out of your ear a little farther than some other ones in the market.
